Tightest turning radius in the market
“At Platinum we understand only too well that, for a variety of reasons, many of our customers need their stairlifts supplied quickly. That is why we have invested in a modern manufacturing process that can deliver our curved lifts within an industry leading 10 days”Michael Rees, Operations Manager
Platinum understands very clearly the importance and genuine benefits a stairlift can offer the elderly and disabled.
Curved stairlifts (that is those need to turn corners or negotiate landings) have traditionally been more complex and slower to procure than their simpler straight counterparts.
However, the needs and benefits to the user are exactly the same. Because Platinum only make curved stairlifts and by concentrating purely on designing and building curved stairlifts we believe our product range is second to none.
When someone, for whatever reason, has difficulty climbing the stairs it can have a profound impact on their health and wellbeing, not to mention increased risk of accidents.
It is an unfortunate fact that, for many reasons, people often resist or delay accepting a stairlift, and while we can understand this, it does not detract from the difficulties this can present.
Therefore, once a stairlift has been identified as needed any delay in installation or downtime through breakdowns can have a significant impact or exacerbate a patient’s health and safety.
We Can Deliver In 10 Days
At Platinum we recognise the importance of fast delivery and product reliability. That's why all our products are made to very high standards, using proven technology and built using modern manufacturing techniques to ensure each one is not only fit for purpose and extremely reliable but usually available within 10 working days.
Public Sector Procurement
The Public Sector – through government funding of Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG) and Local Authority procurement contracts spends around £60 million a year on stairlifts in the UK. Therefore, with ever increasing demands upon public finances and budgets, it has never been more important to ensure good value for money.
However, there is so much more to ensuring good value of money than a competitive purchase price alone. When we consider is costs on average around:
- £40 per hour for emergency home care
- £100 a day for residential care
- £650 per day for inpatient hospital care
- Or a whopping £3,076 to treat a fall by the elderly
The ability to deliver a stairlift quickly and once installed remain operational and reliable starts to have a significant impact upon the true lifetime costs and patent healthcare for all concerned.
At Platinum we understand how important delivery and reliability is for all our customers and that is why we won’t compromise on standards and build quality.
Platinum also offer a special Approved Used Scheme for use curved stairlifts that can ensure a greater potential for re-use of curved stairlifts stocks and assist with environmental targets.
